Hi, I’m Anika.

I’m a sophomore in Cornell University’s Design and Environmental Analysis program, exploring design at the intersection of technology, art, and (most importantly) people. I’m also an athlete and artist, flowing between analytical and intuitive thinking in design practice.

My early experience with art, and the joy it brought, taught me that doing something creative was nonnegotiable for me. As I grew up, I realized I wanted to transmit this joy to other people through tangible products. The current design paradigm values functionality and aesthetics; I want my work to inspire fascination alongside these measures of success.

My background as a student athlete has been invaluable in shaping my work ethic, resilience, and overall character as a designer. As a member of Cornell’s D1 Track and Field Program, I continue to hone these lifelong skills alongside my creative ones in the classroom.

Track and field puts a strong emphasis on precision within performance, which has sharpened my attention to detail and functionality in design. I’m goal-oriented and used to an everyday pursuit of improvement that makes work feel like play.
